Funk Syndciate welcomes Bob McCurdy!

Funk Syndicate is happy to welcome Bob McCurdy on trumpet and flugelhorn.  Kevin Hupe is leaving the group to spend more time with his family and we would like to wish him well and thank him for his fine playing over the last few years!

Bob began his professional career at 16 playing with big bands and other groups in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and performed in Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago in jazz, rock, classical, and studio situations. Artists McCurdy performed with included The Temptations, Natalie Cole, Bob Hope, Tony Orlando, The Platters, Joan Rivers, Red Skelton, Bob Newhart, Steve Allen, Johnny Cash, Tom Wopat , Richard Davis, Jimmy and Jeanie Cheatham, Steve Houghton, and many others.

Funk Syndicate is thrilled to announce the return of Angie Weaver.  Angie was one of our original founders and it is a pleasure to have her back where she belongs on the stage!  Look for many exciting things to come from Angie as we expand our song repertoire to add some new material and continue to showcase one of Kansas City's finest vocal talents.

Funk Syndciate welcomes Earl Steely and Chris Woolaway!

Funk Syndicate is pleased to announce the addition of 2 fine musicians.  Early Steely has joined the group playing guitar as well as Chris Woolaway coming in on drums.  Both of these local talents bring some fantastic skills to the band and continue to make Funk Syndicate one of Kansas City's top dance and party bands.
