Earl Steely - Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals

After taking a several year hiatus to start and raise a family, Earl returns to the Kansas City music scene as a member of Funk Syndicate. Earl started playing guitar when he was about 14 years old. His dad showed him his first 3 chords and he took it from there. He played in high school and college jazz/stage bands and also all over the country with several rock/top 40 bands along with opening for Juice Newton and Johnny Rivers. Earl also played in various Gary Mac bands throughout the mid-late 80's to early 90's in the Kansas City area.  Earl has a diverse musical background and a love for all kinds of music but calls R&B and Rock his favorites.
